Huw farms 1250 South Wales Mountain ewes and 40 Welsh Black suckler cows. He started breeding Welsh Blacks by purchasing a few cows and has gradually built up the herd to its present size.
Cwm Blacks is also home to the Rhydycar Stud of Welsh Cobs. Meg - Huw and Ruth's daughter - is a successful and keen show pony rider who has won numerous prizes on her Leading Rein and First Ridden ponies."
